AN ORDINANCE
BETWEEN THE
PROPERTIES.
APPROVING THE SALE OF LAND FOR PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT
CITY OF CANTON AND DONALD RODNEY ET AL, D/B/A SAR
WHEREAS, the City of Canton has undertaken a program for the
reconstruction and redevelopment of a Redevelopment Area known as
the Central Business District; and,
WHEREAS, a developer has presented a proposal to construct a
commercial/retail facility in the Central Business District; and,
WHEREAS, the Community and Industrial Development Committee
of the City of Canton has reviewed the proposal presented, which
includes the sale of city owned land to the developer; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council of the City of Canton has
determined that it is necessary and in the best interest of the
City of Canton to sell said lot for private development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the sale of land for private development between the
City of Canton and Donald Rodney et al, d/b/a SAR Properties, is
hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver said deed on behalf of the City of
Canton, Illinois.

3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 6th day of December
1994, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Chapman, May, Bohler, Meade, Sarff, Phillips, Molleck,
May.
