Ordinance No . 1443
AN ORDINANCE
Rezoning certain property of Phillip Wright and Tad J.
Putrich on Linn Street in the City of Canton, Illinois.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located
within the corporate limits of said City of Canton, Illinois, and
is currently zoned in an R-2 zoning configuration; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that a Petition for
Rezoning has been filed by the Petitioners, Phillip Wright and Tad
J. Putrich, to rezone the property hereinafter described to a B-2
zoning configuration; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that a public
hearing was conducted by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of Canton, Illinois, in accordance with the laws of this State
and the ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois, on the 10~ day
of October , 1994, and said Planning and Zoning Commission
recommended that the property hereinafter described be re-zoned
from an R-2 zoning configuration to a B-2 zoning configuration;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
A part of the Northeast Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter of Section 35, in Township 7
North, Range 4 East of the 4th Principal
Meridian, Fulton County, Illinois, described
as follows, to-wit: Beginning in the center
of a public highway at the Northwest corner of

said Northeast Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter, running thence South 344 feet, thence
East 5 rods, thence North 344 feet to the
center of said public highway, thence West 5
rods to the Place of Beginning, SUBJECT
HOWEVER, to the use of the Northerly part of
the above-described property as a public
highway,
be and the same is hereby zoned as a B-2 zoning configuration
according to the City Code of the City of Canton, Illinois.
Section 2. That the City Zoning Administrator is hereby
instructed and ordered to make the necessary amendments on the
zoning map of the City of Canton, Illinois, to reflect the changes
required by this Ordinance.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect immediately upon its passage by a majority vote of the
aldermen holding office in the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, at a regular meeting this 1Rt}, day of October ,
19 94, upon a roll call vote as follows:
