AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW
FOR MINI STORAGE FACILITIES AT THE PROPERTY CURRENTLY
ZONED B -2, LOCATED AT 1680 EAST ASH ST., CANTON, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the territory herein described is located within the corporate
limits of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by Doug Hensley, d /b /a HH LLC, contract
purchaser of the property, with the Joint Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of Canton requesting a special use; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and the Joint Planning
and Zoning Commission did thereupon make favorable findings of fact and
recommends to the Canton City Council that said special use permit allowing mini
storage facilities at the property located at 1680 East Ash Street, Canton, Illinois,
and currently zoned B -2, be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That special use permit to allow mini storage facilities at the property
currently zoned B -2 and located at 1680 East Ash Street, Canton, Illinois, affecting
real property being legally described as follows:
Lot 1, Ashland Place Subdivision Canton, Illinois situated in the County
of Fulton and State of Illinois.
3. That the City Council of the City of Canton, County of Fulton, Illinois,
hereby finds the facts of the aforegoing recitals to be fact.
4. That a special use permit be granted for Doug Hensley, d /b /a HH LLC at
1680 East Ash Street, Canton, Illinois as described herein shall be granted, and the
same is hereby issued to Doug Hensley, d /b /a HH LLC purchaser of the property.
Said special use permit will not become effective until Doug Hensley, d /b /a HH
LLC finalizes his purchase of the property and submits proof of ownership.

5. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriate documents, maps and
related regulations are hereby amended to reflect the foregoing special use permit
granted herein upon proof of ownership by Doug Hensley, d /b /a HH LLC.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular meeting
this 3rd day of March, 2015, upon a roll call vote as follows
AYES: Aldermen Gerald Ellis, Justin Nelson, John Lovell, Angela Hale, Craig West,
Tad Putrich, Dave Pickel, Jim Nelson
