AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF ORDINANCE N0. 1397
PASSED BY THE CANTON CITY COUNCIL ON AUGUST 17, 1993 RELATING TO
PROPERTY OWNED BY STEPHEN E. SAYLOR AND SHARON K. SAYLOR.
WHEREAS, the Legal & Ordinance Committee has determined that
it is necessary and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
amend the legal description of Ordinance No. 1397 passed by the
Canton City Council on August 17, 1993; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar
determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the City Council hereby finds the foregoing
recitals to be fact.
2. That the legal description of Ordinance No. 1397 passed
by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
on August 17, 1993 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"A PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE 1/4) OF SECTION
THIRTY-FOUR (34) IN TOWNSHIP SEVEN (7) NORTH, RANGE FOUR
(4) EAST OF THE FOURTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, SITUATED IN
FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
Begiruling at a point 426.9 feet North of the Southwest
corner of said Quarter Section, thence East 219 feet, to
a point, thence North 208.7 feet to a point 38 rods and
13 links North of the South line of said Quarter
Section, thence West 219 feet to the West line of said
Quarter Section, thence South 208.7 feet to the place of
beginning; ALSO
Beginning at a point of the West line of said Quarter
Section 637.1 feet North of the Southwest corner
thereof, thence East 225.2 feet, thence North 14.8 feet,
thence West 225.2 feet, thence South 14.8 feet to the
place of beginning."
3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
