The Meeting of December 8, 2014 was called to order by Chairman Jim Hartford
at 5:30 p.m.
Roll call was taken: 14 members with 8 attending - Quorum present
Members Present - Jim Hartford, Kathy Lock, James Elson Sr., Phil Fleming, Kay
Long, Maria Orwig, Dave Pickel and Ed Patton.
Members not Dresent - Craig West, David Headley, Alan Dilts, Roy Hopper, Kent
Janssen and Justin Nelson.
Others Present - were Planning & Zoning Director, John Kunski and petitioner
Chris Davis.
Chairman Hartford called for a motion to approve the minutes from the meeting
of November 10, 2014. Motion made by James Elson, Sr. and seconded by
Maria Orwig. Motion carried with a unanimous voice vote.
Chairman Hartford read the petition, Case 14 -009, filed by Chris Davis for a 2 foot
variance on the side yard at 81 N. 9th to build a detached garage. The property
is currently zoned R -2.
Chris spoke on behalf of his petition. He has signatures from neighbors and said
that the footings for the garage are already there. John Kunski inspected those
footings and had no issues with the petition.
No questions were presented on the variance.
Chairman Hartford asked for A Motion regarding the petition based on the
Finding of Facts. Phil Fleming made A Motion to accept the variance as it stands
with a yes to the Finding of Facts. Second by Kathy Lock. Motion carried with a
unanimous voice vote and the variance was granted.
A Motion to adjourn was made by Maria Orwig with a second from Ed Patton.
Motion carried with a unanimous voice vote.
The meeting adjourned at 5:40pm
