AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE NORTH SIDE OF WEST
VINE STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the Public Safety & Traffic Committee has, based
upon a police department recommendation, determined that it is
necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of
Canton to remove the parking on the north side of West Vine Street
in the area of Keeling Court; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar
determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That parking on the north side of West Vine Street from a
point 60 feet west of the northwest curb line of Keeling Court,
proceeding 100 feet west on West Vine Street is hereby removed.
3. That all ordinances, or, portions of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby rescinded and repealed.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten
(10) days after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof,
and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 15th day of August
1995, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Molleck, Hartford, Sarff, Phillips, Meade, Shores,
May.
NAYS: None,
ABSENT: Alderman Bohler.
