HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1468ORDINANCE N0. 148 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE 700 BLOCK OF VAN WINKLE DRIVE IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee has, based upon a police department recommendation, determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to remove the parking on the south side of the 700 block of Van Winkle Drive West of South Avenue G; and, WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County Illinois, as follows: 1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact. 2. That parking on the South side of Van Winkle Drive from the west right-of-way line of South Avenue G is hereby removed. 3. That all ordinances, or, portions of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby rescinded and repealed. 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 6th day of June 1995, upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aldermen May, Shores, Meade, Bohler, Phillips, Sarff, Hartford, Molleck.
