HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1462., r ORDINANCE 146 2 AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF DEAN J. VAHLE OF 1050 NORTH MAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of said City of Canton, Illinois, and is currently zoned in an R-2 zoning configuration; and, WHEREAS, a Petition for Rzoning has been filed by the Petitioner, Dean J. Vahle to rezone the property hereinafter described to a B-1, Local Shopping, zoning configuration; and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois, in accordance with the laws of this State and the ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois, on the 10th day of April, 1995, and said Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the property hereinafter described be rezoned from an R-2 zoning configuration to a B-1 zoning configuration; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the territory described as follows: A part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 22, Township 7 North, Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at an iron pin located "3025.1 feet East and 870 feet North of a stone located at the South- west corner of Section 22, Township and Range afore said, thence East 160 feet to the centerline of State Bond Issue Route Number 78, thence North along the centerline of said road~70 feet; thence West 160 feet to an iron pin, thence South 70 feet, thence South 70 feet to an iron pin at the place of beginning excepting that part dedicated to the State of Illinois for purposes of a public highway, City of Canton, State of Illinois; ~, r be and the same is hereby zoned as a B-1 zoning configuration according to the City Code of the City of Canton, Illinois. Section 2. That the City Zoning Administrator is hereby instructed and ordered to make the necessary amendments on the zoning map of the City of Canton, Illinois, to reflect the changes required by this Ordinance. Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by a majority vote of the aldermen holding office in the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular meeting this 2nd day of May , 19 95, upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aldermen Chapman, May, Bohler, Meade, Sarff, Phillips, Molleck, Coay.
