ORDINANCE NO. 1,6n
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF CANTON,
FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS OF WILLIAM ENDRES, Rural Route 3, East
Walnut Street, Canton, Illinois.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the City Clerk for the
annexation of the real property described below, and said real
property is not within the corporate limits of any municipality,
but is contiguous to the City of Canton, Illinois,
Commencing 1251.4 feet East of the Southwest
corner of the Southwest Quarter of said
Section 25, running thence North 631.9 feet;
thence East 68.93 feet; thence South 631.9
feet, thence West 68.93 feet, to the place
of beginning, containing one (1) acre, more
or less, situated in the City of Canton,
County of Fulton and State of Illinois;
WHEREAS, a public hearing on said petition was conducted
by the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Canton on
March 13, 1995, pursuant to proper notice having been published
in the Daily Ledger;
WHEREAS, on March 13, 1995, the Planning & Zoning Commission
recommended to the City Council that the real property described
in the exhibit attached hereto be annexed to the City of Canton;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Canton,
Illinois that said real property be annexed to the City of Canton.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
1. That territory described above be and the same is hereby
annexed to the City of Canton, Illinois.
2. That the described real property be and is hereby zoned
R-2 Single-Family Residential.
3, That the zoning Administrator is directed to make the
appropriate changes to the zoning maps of the City of Canton
to show this annexation and zoning.
4. That the City Clerk is directed to record with the
Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County a certified copy of this
ordinance together with an accurate map of the annexed territory.
5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton and
approval by its Mayor.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 2nd day
of May , 1995, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Chapman, May, Bohler, Meade, Sarff, Phillips,
Molleck, Coay.
NAYS; None.
ABSENT; None,

ACRE, MORE OR LESS, SITUATED IN THE CITY OF CANTON, COUNTY OF
FULTON AND STATE OF ILLINOIS.
