HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1458e ORDINANCE 145A AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF LARRY AND CARISSA FORD OF 155 NORTH 20TH AVENUE IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of said City of Canton, Illinois, and is currently zoned in an AG-1 zoning configuration; and, WHEREAS, a Petition for Rezoning has been filed by the Petitioners, Larry & Larissa Ford to rezone the property hereinafter described to a R-2, Single-Family Residential zoning configuration; and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois, in accordance with the laws of this State and the ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois, on the 10th day of April, 1995, and said Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the property hereinafter described be rezoned from an AG-1 zoning configuration to a R-2 zoning configuration; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the territory described as follows: A part of the Northeast Quarter (NE 4) of the Southwest Quarter (SWa) of Section Number Twenty-Five (25), Township Seven (7) North, Range Four (4) East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, Fulton County, Illinois, described as follows: A part of the East One-Half of the East One-Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 7 North, Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, described as follows, to-wit: Commencing at a point 875.8 feet South of the center of said Section 25; running thence West 222.3 feet; thence South 146.1 feet; thence East 222 feet; thence North 146.1 feet to the place of beginning, situated in the City of Canton, County of Fulton and State of Illinois; .. be and the same is hereby zoned as a R-2 zoning configuration according to the City Code of the City of Canton, Illinois. Section 2. That the City Zoning Administrator is hereby instructed and ordered to make the necessary amendments on the zoning map of the City of Canton, Illinois, to reflect the changes required by this Ordinance. Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by a majority vote of the aldermen holding office in the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular meeting this 18th day of April , 1995 , upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aldermen Chapman, Bohler, Meade,.
