ORDINANCE 1456
REZONING LOTS 74-76 NORTHVIEW MANOR
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton
that the territory hereinafter described is zoned R-2, residential,
but that the Planning and Zoning Commission of City has recommended
as its highest and best use that the zoning be changed to R-4,
multi-family; and
WHEREAS, it further appearing to said City Council that all of
the requisites for rezoning said property have been met and the
hearing was held on March 13, 1995, at which time objectors were
given an opportunity to be heard, and further, that the owners of
the following described land have requested that it be rezoned from
R-2, residential, to R-4, multi-family.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the following described territory be and
the same is hereby rezoned from R-2, residential to R-4, multi-
family:
A part of Lot 74 and a part of Lot 75,
Northview Manor, Section 2, a subdivision
located in the City of Canton, County of
Fulton, and State of Illinois, being more
particularly described as follows:
The West 80 feet of even width of Lot 74 and
the East One-half (1/2) of Lot 75.
ALSO,
A part of Lot 75 and 76, Northview Manor,
Section 2, a subdivision in the City of
Canton, County of Fulton, and State of
Illinois, being more particularly described as
follows:

The West One-half (1/2) of Lot 75; and Lot 76
except 20 feet of even width off the West side
thereof.
Section 2: That a copy of this Ordinance shall be filed
with the City Clerk and the proper changes effected on the zoning
maps of the City of Canton, Illinois.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in effect from
and after a majority vote of the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, and approved by the Mayor.
PASSED by a majority vote of the City Council and approved by
the Mayor on this 21st day of ~~ 1995.
