A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE HALF OF THE FEES
RECEIVED FOR THE CLASS H LIQUOR LICENSE FEES FOR 2014 TO THE
CANTON UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT #66
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton has determined that it is in the best
interest of the youth of the City of Canton, to distribute one-half(1/2) of the 2014 Class H liquor
license fees that the City of Canton had collected on by July 1, 2014, to the Canton Union School
District#66; and
WHEREAS, the City of Canton and the Canton Union School District #66 have agreed
that the funds will be used for drug and alcohol awareness programs; and
WHEREAS, the Canton Union School District #66 will provide quarterly reports to the
Canton City Council as to how the funds were used.
NOW, THEREFORE, BIT IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Treasurer is hereby directed to distribute one-half (1/2) of the funds
received by July 1, 2014, for the 2014 Class H liquor license fee to the Canton Union
School District#66, which amounts to $7,280.00;
2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by
the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois at a regular meeting this 16th day of
September, 2014, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Ellis, Lovell, Hale, Putrich, Pickel, Jim Nelson
NAYS:
ABSENT: Aldermen Justin Nelson, West
