AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE /HOME OCCUPATION
PERMIT TO ALLOW A CLOCK SERVICE/ REPAIR BUSINESS AT 429
WEST CHESTNUT, CANTON, ILLINOIS, CURRENTLY ZONED R-3.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, that the territory herein described is located within the corporate limits of
the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by Michael Tucker, owner of the property to the
Joint Planning and Zoning Commission of said City requesting a special use/home
occupation; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said commission did
thereupon make favorable findings of fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that said special use/home occupation permit to allow a clock
repair/service at property located at 429 West Chestnut, Canton, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois hereby
finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That special use/home occupation to allow a clock service/repair at the property
currently zoned R-3 located at 429 West Chestnut, Canton, Illinois, affecting real
property being legally described as follows:
TWP: O1 SECT/LOT: 04 Edgewood Addition. W 12 S 123 E 21 2 S12,
Canton, Illinois situated in the County of Fulton and State of Illinois.
3. That the City Council of the City of Canton, County of Fulton, Illinois, hereby
finds the facts of the aforegoing recitals to be fact.
4. That a special use/home occupation permit be granted for Michael Tucker at
429 West Chestnut, Canton, Illinois as described herein shall be, and the same is
hereby issued to Michael Tucker, owner of property.
5. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriated documents, maps and
related regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the foregoing
special use permit granted herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular meeting
this 2nd day of September 2014 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Ellis,Justin Nelson, Lovell, Hale,West, Putrich, Pickel,Jim
Nelson
