ORDINANCE N0. 323
WHII�EFORE, it appears that on the 19th day of February A. D. 1957, there
wsa filed With the City Clerk of the City of Canton, Illinois, e verified Petition
signed by a11 of the ownera of record and also by ell the electore residing in
the territory hereinafter described requesting that said territory be annexed to
the Citq of Canton, Illinois.
�iND WHEREAS, said territory i� not within the corporate limita oP any
municipality and it i9 contiguous to the said City of Canton, Illinoie; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINID BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH?? CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOSSs
Section 1. That the followin� described territory:
A pert of the Northeast Quarter o£ the Southwest
Quarter of Seetion 35, in Townahip 7 North, Ran�e
�. D�st of the Fourth Principal Meridian, �ilton County
Illinois, described as follows, to-wit: Beginning
in the center of the public highway at the 1Qorthwest
corner of �aid Northeast Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter, runnin� thence South 31�, feet, thence E�st
5 rods, thence North 3,41�, feet, to the center of said
public highway, thence West 5 rods� to the place of beginning�
situated in the County of Fulton, and State of Illinoie,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Citp of Carton, Illinois.
Section 2. That the City Clerk file with the Recorder of Fulton County,
Illinois, a certified copy of this Qrdinance and an accurate map of the above
deacribed territory.
Passed by a two-thirda sye and nay vote of the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois, and approved by the Mayor of said City on the 19th daq
of Februarv A. D. 1957.
