WHEREF�RE, it appears that on the 30th g�,�, o� March A. D. 1957,
there wa.s filed with the City Clerk of the City of Canton, Illinois, a verified
Petition si�ned by all of the owners of record and also by all the electors re-
siding in the territory hereinafter described requesting that said territorq be
annexed to the City of Ganton, Illinoi�.
AND WHEREAS, said territory is not within the co.rporate li.rnits of any
municipality and it is contiguoua to the said City of Canton, Illinois; NOW

BE IT ORDAIN� BY THk, CITX COtJNCIL OF THu CITY OF CANTOr1� ILLINOIS:
Seetion 1. That the followin� described territory:
Lots Number Twenty (20) and Seventeen (17) in
Bar1oW and Webster's Addition to the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, as recorded
in Plat Book #2, pa�e 27, in the Recorders oP-
fice of Fulton County, Illinoie,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Ce.nton� Illinois.
Section 2. That the City Clerk file with the Recorder of Fulton County,
I1].inoia, a certified copq of this Ordinance and an accurate map of the above
described territory.
Passed by a trro-thirds aye and nay vote of the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois, and approved by tre Mayor of said City on the 3rd day of
April A. D. 1957.
