WHBREAS, it appeara and i� determined by the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois, that the public interest will be subserved by the naca.tion
of the atreet as platted lying between Lots Numbered. 18 and 19 oF Grace M. Pen-
singer�s Addition in said City of Centon, Illinois, ar�
WHE�tEAS, the said street hae never been open to the public and will
not be used for atreet purposes as it runs only from F�ast Birch Street to Athletic
Park a�d thue is a deadend street; and
WH��'tF.iAS, the relief to the public from the further burden and responai-
bility of maintaining said street as platted constitutes a public use and. public
interest authoriaing its vacation.
THER.F�'ORE BE IT ORDAIN� BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH� CITY OF CANTON� ILLINOISt
Section 1. That said street as platted. lying between Lots Numbered 18
and 19 of Grace M. Pensinger�� Addition �o Canton, Sllinois, be and the same ia
hereby vacated..
Section 2. That upon paesage of this Ordinance as required by law�
this Ordinance shall became efPective, and the title to tha.t part of the street
as platted lying between Lots Nwnbered 18 and 19 of Grace M. Fensinger�s Addition
to the City of Canton, Illinois, so vacated shall veat in the owners of land abut-
ting thereon as provided for by the Statutes of the State of Illinois in such
cases made and provided.
Sectioa.3. That the City Clerk of the City of Canton, Illinois shall
fj].e with the County Recorder of Fulton County, Illinois, a certifisd copy of thia
Ordinance.
