ORDINANCE N0. 1513
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF
A DAY CARE FACILITY FOR THE CHURCH OF GOD OF PROPHECY AT THE ADDRESS
OF 115 EAST ALDER, CANTON, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described
is located within the corporate limits of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by The Church Of God Of Prophecy,
owners of said real estate to the Planning & Zoning Commission of
said city requesting a special use; and;
WHEREAS, notice of a petition for a special use permit in
a B-1 local shopping district was published within said City and
County, all in accordance with the Statutes of the State of Illinois
and the Ordinances of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said
commission did thereupon make favorable findings of fact and did
recommend to the Canton City Council that said special use for the
day care facility at 115 East Alder be allowed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a special use permit for the operation of a day care
facility be issued to the Church of God of Prophecy, at the address
of 115 East Alder, Canton, Illinois, affecting real property being
legally described as follows:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
A part of the South One Half of the Southeast Quarter
Section 10, Town 7 North, Range 4 East of the 4th
Principal Meridian.
Commencing at the Southeast corner of Section 10, Town
and Range aforesaid, thence West 743.0 feet to the
point of beginning; thence West 225.0 feet; thence in a
northerly direction 660.0 feet; thence East 242.6 feet;
thence South 660.0 feet to the point of beginning, to
the City of Canton, County of Fulton and State of Illinois,
3. That the records of the City of Canton, appropriate
documents, maps and related regulations be, and the same hereby
are, amended to reflect the foregoing special use permit granted
herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, at a regular meeting this 3rd day of September ~ 1996,
upon a roll call vote as follows:
