Parking Meters shall be installed along the RTorth side of West Pine Street, Canton, Illinois , and along the South side of West Pine Street, between the West line of South Main Street and the East line of Martin Avenue, so as to provide a parallel parking in stalls to be provided for that purpose ; except that for a distance of twenty feet East from East side of South Avenue A, on the 1Vorth side of said West Pine Street , there shall be no meters installed or parking permitted; and beginning at a point on the North side of said West Pine Street twenty feet East of the East side of South Avenue A to the West side of Alley Way in middle of said Block leadin� North there shall be provided a plainly marked portion providing �pace._, for two car' parkin� areas onlg, with meters to provide a time limit of twe7.ve min.utes. Section 2. From and after the date of the adoption of this Orc�inance and publication according to law, no parkin� shall be per- mitted on the West side of Avenue A, Canton, Illinois, from the North side of West Pine Street to the South line of West Locust Street. Section 3. Parking meters shall be installed along the East side of Avenue A, Canton, Illinois, from the North side of Pine Street- to the South side of Alley Way North of Elk' s Building, except that said parking meters shall not be installed in driveways of Alley Ways,� on either side of Giest Pine Street , as aforesaid, or on Avenue A, aforesaid, and shall be installed so as to �ermit parallel parking only. Section 4. That said parking meters shall be installed and operated as provided by ordinance of the City of Canton and shall be placed upon the curb� immediately adjacent to the individual parkin� places hereinafter described. Section 5. It shall be the duty of the Superintendent of 3treets, under the direction of the City Engineer, to eause to be narked by distinct lines parking stalls, and all vehicles parked upon , said stree�s shall be parked within said parking stalls parallel to and with ri�ht wheels of said vehicles not more than ten inches from the curb or parkway edge of the Street ; and the Superintendent of Streets, under the direction of the City Engineer, shall plainly� mark those portions of West Pine Street and Avenue A above described re- served as no parking zones. r ��ction 6. That said parking metere shall be operated in ac- cordance ,�tith the Urdinances of the City of Canton, and all persons usin� said parking lanes or stalls shall be subject to the use of the same in accordinance with the Ordinances of the City of Canton. 5ection 7. �hat on such days as char�es are made for parking under the Ordinances of the City of Canton, the parking of vehicles shall be permitted in the Uff-Street Parkin.g Lot on West Chestnut Street in Canton from 8:OU o' clock, A. M. to 5:0� o' clock, P. M. of such days for Twenty-five Cents, and for any four hour period from 8 :C0 U'clock, A. M. to S:OU o' clock, Y. M. , of such days, a char�e shall be made of Ten Cent s. Section 8. Every person convicted of a violation of this Ordinance shall be fined not less than three dollars nor more than two hundred dollars. Section 9. �.11 prior Ordinances of said City in conflict with any of the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Seetion 10. This urdinance sha11 be in full force and effect after its passa�e by the C;ity Council , app.roval by the Mayor, and publication according to law.
