ORDINANCE N0.--�-�—.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
II,LINOIS:
Section 1. That on and after the �doption, approval, publi-
cation and effectiv� date of this Ordinance, it $hall be unlawful
for any person, firm or corporation to plant any tree or bush in
any public street of the �ity of Canton, Illinois.
Saction 2. By the term "Street" , as used in this Ordinance,
it shall be understood to include all public hi�hways withia the
corporate limites of the City of Canton, set aside or acquired for
the purpo�e af public travel, and includes boulevards, sidewalk�,
curbings, parkways or spaces ,between the curbs of streets and the
inner edge o�' sidewalks, and n�.rrow streets designated as alleys.
Section 3. Every person, firm or corporation convicted of
a violation of this Ordinance shall be fin�d not l�ss than Five
(�5.00) Dollars nor more than One Hundred (�104;0�) Dollars for
each of f ense.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be effective ten day� after
its passage by the City Council, approval by the Magor, and publi-
cation s�ccordin� to law.
PASSE�3 by thc Cit Council of Canton, Illinois, and approved
by the Mayor this --���- day of May, 1963.
