WHEREAS, it appear,� and the City �ouncil of the City of Can-
ton, Illinois, finds that a portion of Ray Str�et and Avenue �,
, hereinafter mo� particul�rly describ-
ed, �hould be vacated and that these vacations would �erve the
publie interest of this Cit9; and
WHEREAS, these streets are located in th� Western
part of the City of Canton and ha�e not been used by the public
for several years; and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds that the maintenance of said
streets is a burden to the Citg of Canton and there
would be relief to the public and the Cit� of Canton from further
urden and responsibility of maintaintag the said etreets na�
� hereinafter described, if the same were vacated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BL IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, That
�CTI�}N:?.L. All that portion of RAY STREET from the East
i�e o� Avenue E to the West line oY Avent�e D; all that portion
of AVENiTE E from the North line of Ray Stre�t to the South liae

,�! all at and within the corporate limits
of the City of Canton, FuTton Coun.ty, Illinois., be vacated.
SECTION �. That upon th� passage of this Ordinance as re-
uired by law and approval of Mayor, it shall become effective
d the title to the portion of said street� , as above
escribed, shall vest in the abutting owners of land as provided
y law.
SECTION 3. Passed by the City Coun4 of the City ; C -
