ORDIN.ANCE NO. ���
WHEREAS, in an Ordinanc� passed by the Cit9 Counci: af
the City of Canton, Illi�iois, on the 19th. day of May, 1964,
which Ordinan�ce 'is 1��}mber' 108 of the Ordinances of the City of
Canton, Illinois , a mistake was made in fixing the salaries of
the garbage department employees in the amount of �48']4.45
when it should have been entered as �4974.32 f or each employee;
THE?�.EFG?2E, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCII, OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, ILLII�?OIS:
Section 1. That said Ordinance be amended so that in Sec-�
tion 1 of said Ordinance , where the salaries of employees for the
year from May l, 1964 to Apri.l 30, 1965, are listed, that next to
last line of said Section 1 be chan�ed to read Each Garbage Depart-
ment employee �4974.32, meaning, that each of said emplo�rees shall
receive the sum of �49'74. 32 for the fiscal year beginning on May
1 , 1964, and ending on �pril 30, 1965.
Section 2. That the City Clerk be authorized, and she is
hereby authorized, to issue checks to the various �arbage employees,
each week, in accordance with the increase of salary herein pro-
vided; and that the City Clerk is also authorized to issue checks
to each employee above named for the difference between the amount
received and the amount he should have received under the new rate
as herein is set forth; and the Treasurer of the City of Canton is
hereby authorized to honor such checks as issued.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in effect after its pas-
sage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
