ORDINANCE N0. ��
BE IT ORDAI�TED BY THE CTTY COUNCIL UF THE CITY OF Cr1NTON, ILLINUIS:
Section 1. That a census be taken in the City of Canton,
Illinois, for the purpose of ascertaining the population in the
following annexed territory of said Gity:
(a) Ordinance No. 30, passed on the 19th day of April, A. D,

14, 15, 16, 17, 1$, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 , 24, 25, ��, 2'7, 2��
- � 29, 30, and 31 in Lincolnshire Addition to the �ity of Canton,
County of Fulton, and State of Illinois, being part of the
Northeast Quarter of Section 22, Township 7 North, Range 4
East of the Fourth Principal Meridian.
(b) Ordinance No. 31, passed on the 19th day of April, A. D.
1961: Beginning at the existin� Corporate line corner, a
point on the East side of South Main Street, in the City of
Canton, County and State aforesaid, also said point being
at the Southwest corner of Lot 32 of E & E. Johnson's 2nd
addition, from said point of beginning, running thence East
along the existing Corporation line 53�. feet, thence South
176.92 feet; thence V1est 121 feet; thence South 620 feet;
thence West 1�1 feet; thence South 501.65 feet to a point
, on the existing Corporation line; thence North $9° 57' West;
l�26.3 feet to Corporation line corner on the existing Eas�
, line of South Main Street; thence No° 31�f East, 531.3 feet
along the existing Corporation 1in:e; �hence East 171�.3 feet
along the existing Corporation line to a point on the East
line of South Main Street extended; and thence North 766.92
feet along the existing Gorporation line to the point of
beginning, containing 13 .05 acres, more or less, of annexed
territory. The foregoing described territory being located
in the Southeast Quarter of Section 34., Township '7 North,
Range 4 East of the r'ourth Principal Meridian, Fulton Countp,
Tllinois. Lots Numbered 1 through 44 inclusive. klso all
lands adjacent to the above lots, dedieated as public s�reets.
(c) C?rdinance No. 59, Passed on the 15th day of May �. D.
1962: A part of Lot Number 31, Van Dyke Park Sub-Division,
situated in the County of Fulton in the StBte of Illinois
and described as follows: Beginning on the 5outh line of
a public highway dedicated to the City of Canton, Illinois,
August 31, 1957, 270.1$ feet Southwesterly from the North-
west corner of Lot Number 30 in said subdivision to the
actual point of beginning, thence South $6° 45t West 35�•55
feet, thence 222 feet, more or less to the South line of
said Lot 31, thence East along the S�outh line of said Lot 31,
thence East along the 5outh line of said Lot 31, a distance
of 350 feet, more or less, to the now existing Corporate
of the City of Canton of the City of Canton, a Municipal
Corporation, thence North 242•5$ feet, more or less, to the
actual point of beginning.
(d) �rdinance No. 109, passed on the 2nd day of June A. D.
1964: The North One Hundred (100) feet off of Lots 1$,
19, and 20 in Rihards' Addition in the Township of Canton,
County of Fulton, and State of Illinois.

( e) Ordinance No 12$, passed on the 9th day of March, 1965:
Beginning at the �orthwest corner of Lot No. 10 in R.ihard's
Addition to the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois,
thence North 33 feet, more or less, to the center of West
Pine Street, thence East along the center of irJest Pine St.
to the corporation line of said City of Canton, thence South
` along the �Iest line of said corporation line to a point
directly East of the Northeast corner of �ot No, 20 in said
; � ' Rihard's Addition, thence i�est to the Northeast corner of
Lot No: 20 in said �ddition, thence West, along the North lines
of Lots 11, 12, 13 , 1�., 15, 16, 17, 1$, 19 and 20 in said
Rihard's Addition, to the juorthwest corner of said Lot No. 11,
thence North to the 5outhwest corner of Lot No. 10 in said
Rihard's Addition, thence IJorth along the v�est line of said
Lot No. 10, to the point of beginning, all in the Township
of Canton, County of Fulton, and State of Tllinois.

1965: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot No. 1,
�lack No. 5 of F. A. Cobleigh's ��irst �iddition to the �ity
of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, thence I�orth along the
corporate line of the �ity of Canton to the center of East
Vine Street, Canton, Illinois, thence East alon� the center
of East Vine Street to the center of North Thirteenth Ave. ,
thence South along the center of North Thirteenth Ave. to a
point directly East of the �outheast corner of Lot No. 14.
in Block 5, in said Addition, thence vJ�est along the corporate
line of the City of Canton to the �outheast corner of said
Lot 14 in said �ddition, and continuing ��Test along said cor-
porate line and the South s�de of said Lot 14 to the place
of beginning, all in Township of Canton, County of Ful�on,
and State of Tllinois.
Section 2. That a censu� taker shall be sam�d by the
Mayor and�ouncil of said City for the purpose of ascertaining
the exact information as to the number of inhabitants in the an-
nexed territory.
Section 3 . After said census is taken, the same shall
be subscribed and sworn to by the census taker as being true and
correct, and shall be filed with the City clerk.
Section 4. The compensation of said• census taker shall
