4�1HEfZEAS, it appears to the City Council of the �ity of
Canton, Illinois , that the territory hercinafter described is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous
to the City of Canton, Illinois; and
It further appearing to the said City Council that no
electors reside in said territory hereinaft�r described and that
the owner of record of all the land within said territory has re-
que�ted that it be annexed to said City as shown by the record
of this Council:
THEREFORE, BE IT GFcDAINED T�Y THE CITY COUNCIL GF THE CITY
OF CI�NTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That the territory described as follows:
A part of �;he Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quart�r
of Section 26, Township '] North , Fian�e 4 East of the
Fourth Principa�l T�Zeridian, more particularly described as
follows: Commencing at th� Southeast corner of Lot 14 in
Block 6 of F. �. Cobleigh's First Addition, a subdivision
of part of the 1Vortheast Quarter of Section 26, thence
North $9° 05' East a distance of 50 feet to an iron pipe
and the Point of Be�inning of the tract to be described;
thence North 0° Ot along th� East right-of-way of North
Thirteenth Street a distance of 622.29 fe�t to an iron
pipe, thence North $9° 05f East a distance of 420.0 feet
to an iron pipe; thence South 0° Ot a distance of 622.29 feet
to a�n iron pipe on the North Right-of=�Iay line of East
ksh Street, thence South $9° �5' tiJest along the North
Right-of-Way line of Ash Street a distance of 420.0 feet
to the Point of Beginning, containing 6.00 acres,
situate, lying and being in the County of Fulton and
Stat� of Illinois�
be and it is hereby annexed to the City of Canton, Tllinois.
S�ction 2. That a certified copy of this Grdirl�nce
togeth�r with an accurate map of the territory above described
shall be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County,
Illinois.
