WHEREAS, the owners of the real estate hereinafter des-
cribed have heretofore filed with the Plannin� and Zonin�; Com-
mission of the Cit,y of Canton, Illinois , a Petition for a Hearing
to rezone said premises as follows:
%� (1) That portion of said premises hercinafter described
in Section 1 of this �rdinance from an R-2 , one family
residential district to B-2, General Busin�ss District;
(2) Th�t portion of said premises hereinafter described
in Section 2 of this �rdinance from an R-2, one family
residential district to an R-�., Multiple Family Residen-
tial District; however, said Petitioners,h�ve requested
that the use shall be limited to multiple or single
residential purposes only;
(3 ) Th�t portion of said premises hereinafter described
in Section 3 of this �rdin�nce from an R-2, one family
residential district to a B-1 Local Shopping District; and
i�1HEREAS, after due notice of said hearin� no person or
persons appeared or otherwise object�d to said reclassification
ds set forth in said Petition; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, by resolution duly and properly
passed and recorded, did apnrove s�id premises hereinafter des-
cribed be re-zoned and reclassified according to the terms of said
Petition and did transmit to this body a Ietter requesting this
body to re-zone said premises in compliance with the Petition and
the Resolution duly enacted by said Commission.
THEREFORE, BE I`r URDAINED BY THE CITY CUUNCIL GF THE
CI'1'Y OF CxNTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That the premises described as follows:
A part of the Northeast �uarter of Section 27, Town-
ship 7 North, R�nge 4 East of the F'ourth Principal
Meridian, described as follows: Bcginning at an iron
pin at the Northeast corner of the intersection of
Ezst Birch Street and North P�°ain Street in the �ity
of Canton, Illinois, thence North 20$.71 feet, thenc�
P�ortheasterly 20$.71 feet, thence South 20$.71 feet,
thence Southwesterly 20$.71 feet, to the point of
beginning, containing one acre, situated in the City
of �anton, County of r'ulton and State of Illinois,
be and shall hereafter be zoned � B-2 Ueneral Business District.
Section 2. That the premises described as follows:
A part of the Northeast �uarter of Section 27, Town-
ship 7 North, Range 4 �ast of the Fourth Principal
Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at a point
on the North boundary of East Birch Street in the City
of Canton, Illinois , 20$.71 feet Northeast of an iron
pin at the Northeast corner of the intersection of
East Birch Street and �1orth NIain Street in said City,
thence North 20$.71 feet , thence Northeasterly ap-
proximately 160.29 feet, thence South approximately
20$.71 feet, thence Southwesterly approximately 160.29
feet to the point of beginning, being �pproximately
.7679 �cres, situated in the City of Canton, County
of Fulton and State of Illinois,
be and the same shall be zoned as an R-� �iultiple N'amily Residen-
tial District, limited however, in compliance with the Request
�nd Petition filed with the Planning and Zoning Commission of said
City by the Petitioners an.d the kecomm*ndation of said Commission
to purely Single or P7u)_tiple �tesidential Purposes.
Section 3. That the premises described as follows:
A part of the Northeast G�uarter of Section 2�, 'rownship
'7 North, Range 1� East of the �''ourth Principal MPridian
described as follows: Beginning at a point 20$.71 feet
North of an iron pin at the Northeast corner of the
intersection of �ast Birch �treet and 1�orth N2ain Street
in the �ity of Canton, Illinois, thence Iuorthwesterly
to the Southeast corner of the intersection of East
Sycamore Street and North P�Iain Street in said City,
thence Nort.heasterly along the �outh boundary of East
Sycamore 5treet to a concrete marker at the Southwest
corner of the intersection of Last Sycamore Str�et
and North F'irst �venue in said Cit,y, thence South
to a point 20£�.'71 feet North of a concrete monument
atl the Nort�iwest corner of trie intersection of East
Birch Street and NortY� First Avenue in said City,
thence Southw�ster7�y to the point of beginning,
situ�ted in t,he City of Canton, County of Fulton and
