�ectior. 1 . v`dhenever in this Grdinance the .f'oll.owing
words or terms are used, they shall have the meanings respect-
fully ascribed to ther� in this Section:
HBI:ID�IY: I�ew Years Day, :�aster, r'Aemori.al Day, Fourth
of J'i:zly, Labor T�ay, Thar�ks�ivin� and Christmas.
EI'��'LGY�;E; Lvery person, other than an elected official,
employed by the City of Canton.
��GRK D�Y: a per�iod of ei�ht hours, except for fire-
men, which shall be twenty-four hours, which shall be�in at
tr�e time an employee re,�ularly reports for duty.
F'RL��Ttti�i P�Y: �'if'ty per cent of' the �iourly pay, tiahich
for those employees whose pay is on an annual basis sha11 be
computed by dividin? tneir daily pay by eight.
Section 2. Hny emplo}�ee of the �ity who sha11 work
on a holiday shall receive in additior. to his re;ular pay,
premium pay, for a period of not more than four hours for each
holiday.
Sectior. 3 . 7'his Crdinance shall be in effect ten
days after its passa,�e by the City Council and approval by the
�!�:ayor. �
