� WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois , that the territory hereinafter described is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous
to the City of Canton, Illinois; and
It further appearing to the said City Council that no
electors reside in said territory hereinafter described and that th
owner of record ot all the land within said territory has requested
that it be annexed to the City as shown by the record of this Counc 1;
THFR FFORE� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C iTY COUNC IL OF THE C ITY
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS :
Section 1. That the territory described as follows :
A part of the Southwest Quarter(SW'�) of Section 'Itaenty-Five
(25) , Township Seven (7) North, Range Four (4) East of the
Fourth Principal Meridian, situated in the County of Fulton
and State of Illinois , described as follows :
Commencing 7.91 chains East of the Southwest corner of said
Quarter Section; running thence East 4� chains ; �hence North
19.30 chains to the center of the public road; thence West
along the center of said road 4�.03 chains; thence South
19.45 chains to the place of beginning, containing 7-3/4 acres
more or less, (said premises being the same as and known as an
subdivided as Huff Subdivision, the plat of which has b�en her -
to�ore approved by the City Council of the City of Canton, I11' -
noisa ,
be and it is hereby annexed to the City of Canton, I1linois.
Section 2. That a certified copy of this Ordinance toget er
with an accurate map of the territory above-described sha11 be reco d-
ed with the Recorder of Deeds in Fulton County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from d
af ter two-thirds ��aye�� and ��noe�� vote of the City Council of the Ci
of Canton, Illinois.
Passed by the two-thirds ��aye�' and ��noe�� vote of the City
Council of the City of Canton, Illinois , and approved by the Mayor
