WHERE�S, it appears to the City Council of the Cit� of
Canton, Illinois, that the territorp hereinafter described iS not
within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguou�
to the City af Canton, Illinois; and
It further appearing to the said City Counci�. that all
electors residing in said territory and all owners of record of
all land within said territory hereinafter described have requested
that it be annexed to said City as shown by the records of this
Council:
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Sectian 1 . That the territory described as follows:
Starting at a corner stone marking East�oftthe�Fourth

Princip�l Meridian, running thence South 165 feet,
thence West 1642 feet for the actual point of beginning,
from thence South 260 feet, thence West 1�0 feet, thence
North �,60 feet, thence �ast 1$0 feet to the place of
beginning, situated in the County of F�zlton and State
of Illinois,

be and it is h�reby annexed to the City of Canton, Illinois.
Section 2. That a certified eo;�y of this Ordinance to-
gether with an �ecurate map of the territory above described shall
be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County, Illinois.
Section 3 . That this Ordinanc� shall be in effect from
and after a two-thirds "aye'f and itnoe" vote of the City Council
of the City of Canton, Illir�ois, �nd approval by the Mayor.
PASSED by a two-thirds "aye" and "n�e" vote of the City
Council and appraved by the Mayor this 9�' day of ��7`�� „
