ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That any person accused of a violation of
any of the provisions of Article V, Section 5.01 of Grdinance
Number 11? of the City of Canton, Illinois, effective Novem-
ber 5, 1964, may settle and compromise the claim against him or
her for such violation by paying to the City the sum of ONE DOL-
LAR (�1 .00j for each offense within twenty-four hours from the
time such violation was committed. Such payment shall b� made at
the police station, and a receipt shall be issued for all money
so received, and such money shall be promptly turned over to the
City Treasurer to be placed in the parkin� meter fund. If such
payment is made the members of the police department and traffic
officers ar� hereby authorized to refrain from instituting a
prosecution for s�id violation.
Section 2. This G�rdinance shall be in effect ten days
after its passage by the City Council, approval by the I�Tayor and
publication according to law.
