BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIiE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
3ECTION �.. That Chepter XLV, Section 21,
Paragrap�T,o�`-the Revised Ordinances of the Citg
of Canton, Illinois be, and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
B. POWERS OF THE BOARD
1. No plans, plats or replats within the corp-
arate limits of the City or in contiguous territory out-
side of end distant not more than one and one-half (1��
miles from such limits shall be entitled to r�cord or
shall be valid unless the subdivision shown thereon �hall
provide for streets, sidewalks, alleys and public grounds
in eonformity with the recommendation of the Commission.
In C888 of the disapproval by the Commission of any such
plat, the reason� for such disapproval shall be submitted
to the City Council which may overrule such disapproval
by� ma�ority vote of its members. The failure of the Com-
mission to disapprove any properly submittsd plat within
a period of sixty (60) days from the date of it� filing
shall be deemed acceptance of such plat.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall send a copq
of this �ce to the glanning and Zoning �ommission
of said City.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect
after its passage by the City Council and approval b9 the
Mayor.
