4'VHFREAS, it �ppeaxs and is determin�d by th� Gity
Council of the City of C�=�nton, I1linois, that the public ; ��
interest �r�ill be subserved by vacating that portion of �
N�mlock 'Terrace in sai.d City as hereinaftea� described� and
W�iEREAS, that portion of said street has not and
wi11 not be usPd for street purposes; and
WHERFAS, the relief of the public from the furthea
burdon and responsibility of maintaining saa.d street cori-
stitutes a public use and publi,c interest authorizing its
vac�tion; �
THEREFOFtE, BE IT ORDA,IN�D BY THE MAYOR pND CITY

Section 2. That the �a.ght to maintai.n, �enew or
reconstruct any publzc utility faci.l�.ty in that porti�n of
the str�et so vacated shall be ��served in the public
utility owning sa�.d facility and it shall have an easement
or right o£ way for the main�enance, renev�al� c�r rec�n-
struction thereof.
Section 3'. That upon the passage of this
Ordinance as required by law, the Ordznance shall became
effective, and the ta.tl� to that portion of Hemlock
Terrace in the City of Canton, I1linoxs, as above described,
so vacated sha11 vest in the owners of land abutting thereon
as provided for by the Statutes of the State of Illinoi.s, in
such cases made and provided, subject, howev�r, to th�
r�servation set £orth in Section ?_ od this Oxdinance.

Canton, I�.X.znois, s,hall file with the Count� Recorc�er Qf
_ Fulton Caunty, i1�.3no3.s a certifi�d capy of this Ordinance.

three-fourth5 of the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, thorized by law to be elect�d, this �day of
