MUNICIPA� SERVICE OCGUYA,TION TAX
BE IT 4RAAINED by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illino3s that:
SECTION 1. A tax is hereby imposed upon a11 persons engaged
in this-mun�'c�pality in the bu�iness of making �ales of service
at the rate of three-quarters of one percent of the gross receipts
recsived from such business, in accordance with the provisions of
Section 8-].1-5 of the Illinois Municipal Code.
SECTIQN 2. Every serviceman required to account for Munici-
paZ Servi ce ccupation Tax for the benefit of this municip�,lity
shall file, on or before the last d a� of each calendar month, the
report to the State �epartment of Revenue required by Sectian
Nine of the Serviee Occupation Ta�c Act.
SECTZ_� At the time such report is Piled, there shall be
paid �o` e � ate Department of Revenue the a,mount of ta� hereby
imposed.
SECTION 1 . The City Clerk is hereb� di,rected to transmit
to the � a e �partment of Revenue a certified cap� of this Qrdi-
nance not later than five (5) days after the effect3ve date of
this Ordinance.

Municipal Code and sha11 be effective fsom and after the first day

SECTION 6. Ordinance No. 22 entitled "MUNICTPAL

is hereby repealed effective Septernber l, 1967.
This Ordinanae shall take effect on the first day of �
- September , 1967.
