ORDINANCE NO.���-
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCII. OF TH�: CITY OF CANTUI�, ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . ESTABLISHI�NT OF UFFICE. There is hereby
created the Office of Caretaker at Lake Canton, which shall con-
sist of a Caretaker who shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject
to the approval and consent of the City Council.
Before he enters upon the duties of his office, he sha11 take
and subscribe to the oath provided by law for City Gfficers and
shall give bond to the City of Canton in the penal sum of One Thou-
sand Dollars (�1 000.00) with a surety company authorized to do
business in the �tate of Illinois, conditioned for the faithful
performance of the duties of the offic�.
Section 2. DUTIES. The Caretake r shall patrol the Lake
for violations of the Ordinance of the City and all rules and
regulations pertaining thereto, and such other duties as required
by the Mayor and the Lake Development Committee, subject to the
approval of �he City Council.
Section 3 . SALARY. Such Caretaker shall receive an
annual salary of One Dollar ($1 .00) .
Section 4• E�'FECTIVE D1�TE. This Ordinance shall be in
effect from and after its passage by the City Council and approval
by the Mayor.
