ORDINANCE N0. _���
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCTL UF' THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That Chapter XXXI, Article I, Section 1
of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois, of
1959, as Amended, be and the same is hereby further amended
to read as follows:
"S�ction 1 . POLICE DEPARTMENT C$EATED, MEMBERS. ) There is
hereby eatablished an executive department of the City
Government, which shall be known as the 'tPolice Department;
and shall embrace one Chief of Police, 3 Police Sergeants,
11 Patrolmen, 2 Radio Operators and 1 File Clerk."
Section 2. Thi� Ordinance shall be in effect after its
passage by the City Council, approval by the Mayor and the City
Council by Resolution determines that there are funds avail-
able to pay the salaries of the additional Police Patrolmen
provided for by this Ordinance.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor
