BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That Chapter XX, Article I, Section 1
of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois,
of �959, as Ar�ended, be and the �ame is hereby further amended
to resd as follows:
"Section 1 . FIRE DEPARTMENT ESTABLISHED. ) There is hereby
established an executive department of the municipal govern-
ment of the City of Canton which shall be known as the Fire
Department, and shall consist of one Chief of the Fire De-
partment, 2 Assistant Chiefs, and 15 Firemen."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in effect after its
pa�sage by the City Council, approval by the Mayor and the City
Council by Resolution determines that there are funds avail-
able to pap the salaries of the additional F�;�reffien�'p�4�ri�ed for
b}�:'this Ordinance.
