ORDINANCE N0. ,��1�
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY qF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Seetioa 1. OFFICE CR.F�TED. There is hereb3r created the office of
Guardian of La.ke Canton who shall be appointed by the M�yor by and with the
advice and consent of the City Counc3.l. Before entering upon the duties of
his office, he �hal.l take the oath prescribed by law for City OPficers and
execute a bond to the City of Canton in the penal swn of One Thousand Dollars
with such sureties as the City Council shall ap prove for the fad.thful per-
formance of the duties of his office.
Section 2. SALARY. The Guardian of I�a.ke Canton �i.all receive a monthly
salary of One Hundred Dollars (�1'00.00).
:eetion 3. DUTIE5. The Guardian of Lake Canton shsll pa.trol Lake
Canton to see that the Ordinances of said C3ty and Rules and Rsgul.ations per-
ta3.ning to Lake Canton are observed and perform s,�eh other duties as the Le�ke
Developea►ent Co�n3.ttee or the City Council may require.
Section 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall be in effect after
its passage by the Gity Council and approval by the Mayor.
