ORDINANCE NO. � ,�
WHEREAS, the owners of the real estate hereinafter described
have heretofore filed with the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City
of Canton, Illinois, a Petition for a hearing to re-zone the premises des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning at an iron pin situated at the Northeast corner of
the intersection of East Birch Street and North Main Street,
thence Easterly along the North side of East Birch Street
208. 71 feet to the point of beginning; from said point of begin-
ning thence running Easterly along the North side of East Birch
Street to an 8" x 8" concrete marker situated at the Northwest
corner of the intersection of North First Avenue and East Birch
Street, thence running North along the West side of North First
Avenue 125 feet, running thence Westerly to a point 125 feet
North of the point of beginning, running thence Southerly along
the East side of the Mutual Savings & Loan property to the place
of beginning; all situated in the City of Canton, County of Fulton
and State of Illinois,
from an R-4 Multiple Family Residential District to a B-1 Local Shopping
District; limited, however, to its use for a business and professional office
or medical or dental clinic; and,
WHEREAS, after due Notice of said Hearing, a Hearing was held
by the Planning and Zoning Commission; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, by resolution duly and properl,y
passed and recorded, did approve said premises above described to be
re-zoned and re-classified according to the terms of said Petition, namely,
from R-4 Multiple Family Residential District to B-1 Local Shopping Dis-
trict; limited, however, to its use for a business and professional office
or medical or dental clinic; and that the said Commission did transmit
to this body a letter setting forth its recommendation.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the premises described as follows:
Beginning at an iron pin situated at the Northeast corner of
the intersection of East Birch Street and North Main Street,
thence Easterly along the North side of East Birch Street
208, 71 feet to the point of beginning; from said point of be-
ginning thence running Easterly along the North side of East
Birch Street to an 8" x 8" concrete marker situated at the
Northwest corner of the intersection of North First Avenue and
East Birch Street, thence running North along the West side of
North First Avenue 125 feet, running thence Westerly to a point
125 feet North of the point of beginning, running thence southerly
along the East side of the Mutual Savings & Loan property to the
place of beginning; all situated in the City of Canton, County of
Fulton and State of Illinois,
be and the same shall hereafter be zoned a B-1 Local Shopping District;
limited, however, to its use for a business and professional office or
medical or dental clinic.

Section 2. That the proper officials of said City shall make
a record of this Ordinance and make changes and re-classifications in
the zoning maps and records of said city.
