ORDINANCE N0. � 7 �
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS :
Section l. That stop signs shall be posted at the
Northeast and Southwest corners of the intersection of East
Myrtle Street and North Ninth Avenue in the City of Canton,
Illinois and, whenever a driver of a vehicle shall approach
North Ninth Avenue, he shall bring his vehicle to a complete
stop and then proceed with caution when a safe interval occurs.
Section 2. That stop signs shall be posted at the
Northeast and Southwest corners of the intersection of South
Sixth Avenue and East Oak Street in the City of Canton,
Illinois and, wherrever a driver of a vehicle shall approach
South Sixth Avenue, he shall bring his vehicle to a complete
stop an d then proceed with caution when a safe interval occurs.
Section 3. That stop signs shall be posted at the
Northeast and Southwest corners of the intersection of North
Eighth Avenue and East Myrtle Street in the City of Canton,
Illinois and, whenever a driver of a vehicle shall approach
North Eighth Avenue, he shall bring his vehicle to a complete
stop and then proceed with caution when a safe interval occurs.
Section 4. Any person found guilty of a violation of
this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than
Five dollars (�5.00) nor more than Two hundred dollars ($200.00) .
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in effect ten days
after its passage by the City Council, approval by the Mayor
and publication according to law.
