ORDINANCE N0. ���j
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS :
Section l. That Chapter XL11, Section 56 , Article 1 of
the Revised Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois, 1959 be,
and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows :
"tSection 56 , ONE WAY TRAFFIC. The several streets
designated as one way streets , upon which traffic of vehicles
shall move in one direction on1y, are as follows :
l. Chestnut Street from Main Street to Fifth Avenue,
west to east.
2. Chestnut Street , from Main Street to Avenue A, east
to west.
3. Elm Street from Fifth Avenue to the east side of
the Square, east to west .
4. Elm Street from Main Street to the east side of the
Square, west to east.
5. East side of Square, south to north.
6. North Main Street from Locust Street to Elm Street,
north to south.
7. White Court from Elm Street to Pine Street, narth
to south. "k
Section 2. Any person convicted of any violation of this
Ordinance shall be fined not less than Three Dollars (�3.00) and
no more than One Hundred Dollars (�100.00) .
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in effect ten days
after its passage of the City Council , approval of the Mayor
and publication according to law.
PASSED by the Mayor and approved by the Council this
5th day of August , A.D. 1969.
