A RESOLUTION APPRDVING AN AGREEMENT .BETWEEN THE CITY OF
CANTON AND RAYMOND WHITE AND LOUISE WHITE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has reviewed the
terms of the Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as
Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has determined that it
is in the best interest of the City of Canton to approve said Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Agreement which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit
A, is hereby approved, said agreement to be subject to and effective pursuant to the terms
and conditions set forth therein.
2. That the Mayor of the City of Canton, Illinois is hereby authorized and directed
to execute and deliver said Agreement on behalf of the City of Canton.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by
the Mayor thereof.

regular meeting this 3~,_ day of November, 1998, upon a roll call vote as follows:

AGREEMENT FOR SPECIAL TAP FEES
This agreement is made at Canton, Illinois on the date shown at the end hereof and
is by and between the City of Canton, an Illinois municipal corporation ("City") and
Raymond White and Louise White and sets forth the understanding of the parties
pertaining to tap on fees for the extension of a water line.
WHEREAS, Raymond White and Louise White have privately caused an
extension to be made of a 4" water line in Englewood Acres Subdivision, Orion
Township, to their residence and the line was financed in whole by Raymond White and
Louise White at a cost of $6,000.00 as shown on Exhibit A.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City has agreed to waive the requirement of
Section 8-21-1 of the Canton Municipal Code that a written agreement shall be in
existence and in the City's files before any construction starts;
NOW, THEREFORE it is agreed that hereafter, any person or entity desiring to
connect to the 4 inch water line herein described before connecting shall pay to the City a
tappage fee in addition to the normal tappage fee based upon the $6,000.00 cost incurred
by Raymond White and Louise White to construct the larger line before financial
assistance from the City.
Payments shall be made to the City Treasurer for reimbursement as hereafter
provided.
This agreement shall be for a period of ten (10) years from the issuance of the
Illinois E.P.A. permit for the line.
Reimbursement shall be calculated as follows: Each person to tap on to said line
shall pay $1500.00 to be returned to Raymond White and Louise White, up to the
$6,000.00 which is the cost of the extension.
Each year the principal amount shall be adjusted by the Consumer Price Index
(CPI) all CPI increases shall go to the City for maintenance and administration.
In witness the parties have executed this agreement on this .5'`~' day of
