ORDINANCE NO. ��'..3
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS :
SECTION 1. Parking meters shall be installed for each
of the parking spaces , eighteen in number, in the City parking
lot , located on White Court, in said City, being a part of Lot
105 in Swan 's First Addition to the City of Canton, as recorded
in the Recorder 's Office of F'ulton County, I1linois .
SECTION 2. The Superintendent of Streets, under the
direction of the City Engineer, shall cause to be marked by
distinct lines parking stalls or spaces, in general conformity with
those now existing in said City parking lot and all vehicles parked
therein shall be parked within said stalls or spaces so marked.
SECTION 3. A1l persons using the parking meters and parking
stalls or spaces , as hereinabove provided, shall pay and be governed
by the parking rates , time of parking, when such parking is
permissable, and other regulations provided by Ordinance No. 47 ,
passed and adopted by the City Council of Canton, Illinois, on
the 3rd day of October, 1961.
SECTION 4. The Police Department an d Street Department
shall do all customary acts to inform the public of the provisions
of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5. Ordinance No. 87, passed and adopted by the
City Council of Canton, I1linois on the 3rd day of Septeinber,
1963 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. Every person convicted of a violation of this
Ordinance for which no other penalty is provided sh all be punished
by a fine of not less than One Dollar and not more than One
Hundred Dollars.
SECTION 7. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect December 1, 1969 and from and after its passage by the
City Council , approval by the Mayor, and publication according
to law.
PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this
