WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous
to the City of Canton, Illinois; and
It further appearing to the said City Council that all the
electors residing in said territory hereinafter described and that
the owners of record of all the land within said territory have requested
that it be annexed to said City as shown by the records of this Council.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
� A part of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 7 North,
Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, Fulton
County, Illinois, and being more particularly described
as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of said
Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, thence
North 428. 0 feet to an iron pin; thence East 200. 0 feet
to a concrete marker; thence South 437. 1 feet; thence
North 87°24' West, a distance of 200. 2 feet to the point
of beginning, containing 1. 856 acres, more or less.
be, and it is hereby annexed to the City of Canton, Illinois.
Section 2. That a certified copy of this Ordinance together
with an accurate map of the territory above described shall be recorded
with the Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County, Illinois.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from
and after a two-thirds '�aye" and "noe" vote of the City Council
of the City of Canton, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor.
