ORDINANCE N0. 288
WHEREAS, the Zoning Enforcement Officer of the City of
Canton, Illinois , in conjunction with his duties of determining
and issuing building permits , has been instrumental and vigilant
to cause the collection and payment of license fees required of
contractors residing outside the City of Canton, Illinois ; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed right and proper that said Zoning
Enforcement Officer should be paid for his services in this
connection,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS ORDAINED by the
City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois as follows :
The Zoning Enforcement Officer of the City of Canton,
Illinois shall be paid 10% of the license fees required of and
paid by contractors residing outside the City of Canton, I1linois
on account of their activities within this City. Payment shall
be made by the proper authorities of this City on a monthly
basis commencing with the month of January, 1970 and shall be
retroactive to include payment based on such feescollected

commencing with the month of 1•1a.y , 1969. All
payments to the Zoning Enforcement Officer, by reason of the
provisions hereof, excepting only the first, shall be made in
the month succeeding the month in which the license fees were
paid and which establish the amount of payment to which the
Zoning Enforcement Officer thereby became entitled.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois ,
an d signed and approved by the Mayor of said City and deposited
in the Office of the Clerk of said City, this �-`�t� day of
