HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #295 � _ ty • , J . . �= F ,, . , s "� n..--'� � . �i�rT.,iAT'v�'.'� l�Tl). fi"2�� WHEREA.S, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois that the territory hereinafter described is zoned R-2, Residential, but that the Planning and Zoning Commission of said City has recommended that the zoning be changed to R-4, Residential; and It further appearing to the said City Council that all of the requisites for rezoning said property have been met and that there were no objectors at the public hearing held on February 2, 1970, and that the owner of the following described land has requested that it be rezoned from R-2, Residential, to R-4, Residential. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the territory described as: That part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 6 North, Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter Section 3, Town and Range aforesaid; thence South 229. 7 feet; thence East 20. 0 feet to the point of beginning; thence North 89 degrees 41 minutes East 337. 0 feet; thence South 0 degrees 19 minutes East 397. 2 feet; thence South 88 degrees 56 minutes West 188. 0 feet; thence North 370. 0 feet; thence West 150. 0 feet; thence North 30. 0 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1. 819 acres, plus or minus. be, and the same is hereby rezoned from R-2, Residential, to R-4, Residential. - �- . . � � � _ � � ' Section 2, That a copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Clerk and proper changes be effected on the zoning maps of the City of Canton, Illinois. Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and after a majority vote of the City Council of the City of Canton, Rlinois, and approval by the Mayor.
