WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois that the territory hereinafter described is
zoned R-2, Residential, but that the Planning and Zoning
Commission of said City has recommended that the zoning be
changed to R-4, Residential; and
It further appearing to the said City Council that all of
the requisites for rezoning said property have been met and
that there were no objectors at the public hearing held on
July 6, 1970, and that the owner of the following described
land has requested that it be rezoned from R-2, Residential,
to R-4, Residential.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
S�ction l. That the territory described as:
A part of the Southeast Quarter of Section Twenty-Seven
(27) Township Seven (7) North Range Four (4) East of
the Fourth Principal Meridian, described as beginning
33 feet West and 357. 94 feet South of the Northeast corner
of said Quarter Section, thence West 175 £eet thence South
64 feet thence East 175 feet thence North 64 feet to the
point of beginning.

Section 2. That a copy of this Ordinance shall be
filed with the City Clerk and proper changes be effected on the
zoning maps of the City of Canton, Illinois.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from
and after a majority vote of the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor.
