W h e r e a s , the Planning Commission of the City of Can-
ton, Illinois, after notice and hearing, has made its recommendations
in writing that the realty hereinafter described be rezoned from R-2 to
B���
Now , Therefore , Be It and It Hereby Is
O r d a i n e d by the City Council of the City of Canton, I1linois, that the
realty described as follows:
Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 26, Town-
ship 7 North, Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal
Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at a stone at the Northeast corner of
said Southeast Quarter of Section 26, running
thence West 1366. 96 feet, more or 1ess, to the
Northeast corner of the property now owned by
Craig Sheets for the actual point of beginning,
running thence South 150 feet, thence East 55
feet, thence North 150 feet, thence West 55 feet
to the place of beginning,
commonly known as 1374 East Ash Street, Canton,
Illinois,
be and the same is hereby rezoned from R-2, one�family residential, to
B-1, business use, and that "Map B Zoning Districts, Canton, Illinois,
and Contiguous Area" which has heretofore been made a part of the Zon-
ing Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois, be modified and marked to
reflect the zoning change here ordained.
That the City Clerk shall send a copy of this Ordinance to
the Planning and Zoning Commission of said City.
That this Ordinance shall be in effect after its passage by
the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
