ORDINANCE NO. ���
WHEREAS, the City of Canton, Illinois has heretofore
authorized and established a system for the collection and disposal
of garbage in said City and has heretofore autht�rized and established
a tax rate limitation for the maintenance and support thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the present taxes are �ot sufficient to prQperly
maintain and operate the said garbage system; and,
WHERF�AS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois now provide
that the City Council of said City may increase said rate limitation
but not to exceed .20%,
NOW� THEREFORE, BE IT QRDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GANTON, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. That the present tax rate limitation on the
full, fair cash value, as equalized or assessed by the Dept. of
Revenue of the State of Illinois, on all taxable property in the
City of Canton, Illinois, to be used solely for�the maintenance of
systems and plants for the collection and disposal of garbage,
refuse and ashes in said City be, and the same is hereby, increased
from the present tax rate limitation to the tax rate of .17%.
SEGTION 2. That the City Clerk of said City be, and she
is hereby, directed to send a certif ied copy of this Ordinance
to the County Clerk of Fulton County, Illinois.
SEGTiON 3. This Ordinance shall be in effect after its
passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.

at a regular meeting of said Council on the c��day of ,
