AN ORDINANCE �' �`��
TO ANNEX REAL ESTATE IN THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF
TI�E SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 15 AND IN THE
NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QU�RTER OF
SECTION 15, TOWNSHIP 7 NORTH, R.ANGE 4 EAST OF THE
; - FOURTH PRINCIPAL MERIDI�N, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, it appears to the Cit�y Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, that'the territory hereinafter described is not within the corporate
' � limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the City of Canton, Illinois; and
� ^ WHEREAS, pursuant to notice and public hearing at which no
objectors appeared, the premises hereinafter described was rezoned by the
Board of Supervisors of Fulton County for use as an automobile sales and
service facility and that developmen,� in 'accordance with said rezoning
classification is now being carried on and FURTHER WHEREAS, said
classification is comparable to the B-2 classification of the City of Canton
Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, it ap�ears to the City Council of the City of Canton
that two (2) electo.rs reside in said territory hereinafter described who have
� joined in the petition for annexation and that the owner of record of all of the
�' land within said territvey has requested that it be annexed to said territory.

and Range aforementioned, running We�t along the South
sid� of the C.A. T.V. private roadway easement 460
feet, more or less; thence running South 630 feet, more
or less, along the East property line of the C.A. T.V.
, pro�erty to the Southeast corner of said property;
� thence running West 430 feet, more or less, along the
C.A. T. V. South property line to the Southwest corner
' of the C.A, T. V. property; thence South 320 feet, more
or less, to the North property line of the Gray property,
Thence E along the Fisher-Gray property line 910 feet,
more or less, to the W right of way line of State Bond
Issue Route 78; thence running North along the right of
way line of the aforementioned highway 930 feet, more'
or less, to the point of beginning,
be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Canton, IIliriois.

Section 2. That this property be, arid it is hereby, zoned B-2,
General Business District.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this Ordinance together with
an accurate map of the territory above described sha�ll be r�corded with the
Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County, Illinois.
Section 4. That the land described ia adjacent to Illinoi.s Highway
\ 78 and that the new corporate limits shall extend to the far side of said
adjacent highway, Illinois Route 78.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in effect from and after
a majority vote of the City C�ouncil of the City of Canton, Illinois, and approva
by the Mayor.
