CANTON PARK DIST ICT PROPERTY
WHEREA S, it appears to the C ity C ounc il of the C ity
of Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is not
within the co.rpo.rate limits of any m�inicipality but is contiguous
with the City of Canton, Illinois; and
It further ap�earino to said ��ity Council that all of the
electors residing in said territory tobether with the owner of
record of all land �vithin said -territory have requested �hat it be
annexed ,to said ��ity; and
WHEREAS, zonino of said �roi�erty is unnecessary in
view of its ownership �y a municipal coraoration.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
C OL7NC IL OF THE C ITY OF CA NTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory described :in Exhibit A
attached :zereto and mad� a part hereof by reference, be and Lhe
same is hereby annexed to the City of Canton, Illinois.
Section 2. That a certified ��o;�y o.f this ordinance
together with an accurate map of the territory involved shall be
record��d at the Recorder of Deed�� office, Fulton Cot�nty, Illinois.
S�ction 3. That this ordinance shall be in effect from
and after a majority vote of the City Council of the City of Canton, -
Illinois, and ap�roval by the Mayor,
PASSED by a majority vote of the City Council and
ap�roved '�y the Mayor this ���day of _�, /� 1972.
