A RESOLUTION COMMITTING LOCAL FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has taken action to
submit an Illinois Community Development Assistance Program (CDAP) design
engineering application; and,
WHEREAS, receipt of CDAP grant assistance is essential to allow the City of
Canton to undertake the project to design water system improvements; and,
WHEREAS, criteria of CDAP are such that financial participation by the grant is
required in conjunction with CDAP funds; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Canton has certain monies allocated for the above-
referenced project with cash on hand, as needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the City of Canton does hereby commit funds for use in conjunction with
an Illinois Community Development Assistance Program Grant, such funds to equal 22%
of the estimated total project cost of $128,000, or $28,000.
2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by
the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 15th day of September, 1998, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermanz Hartford, Molleck, Sarff, Meade, Nidiffer, May,
Shores ,
NAYS: None .
ABSENT: Alderman Phillips .
