� ORDINANCE N0. ,� �I�
WHEREAS , it appears to the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois , that the territory hereinafter de-
scribed is not within the corporate limits of any munici-
pality, but is contiguous to the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois , a Municipal Corporation, and
It further appearing to the said City Council that
all the electors residing in said territory hereinafter
described and that the owners of record of all the land
within said territory have requested that it be annexed
� to said city as shown by the records of this Council.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY 0� CANTON, ILLINOIS :
Section 1. That the territory described as follows :
A portion of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 28, Township 7 North, Range 4
East of the Fourth Principal Meridian,
Canton Township , Fulton County, Illinois ,
described as follows : Beginning at a point
264 feet North from a stone located at
the Southeast Corner of said Southwest
Quarter, thence North along the center
of the Township Road 232 feet; thence
West 330 feet ; thence South 232 feet;
thence East 330 fee t, to the point of
beginning.
be and it is hereby annexed to the City of Canton, Illinois .
Section 2 . That a certified copy of this ordinance ,
together with an accurate map of the territory above de-
scribed sha11 be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of
Fulton County, Illinois .
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in effect
from and after a majority vote of the City Council of
the City of Canton, Illinois , and approval by the Mayor.
